Develops business cases for the adoption of new applications including target customer and market sizing, capital investments, and ROI analysis
Manages entire project lifecycles from discovery, requirements definition, business case development, solution development, implementation, and measurement
Conducting Stakeholder analysis; developing and managing multiple project schedules, identifying risks and communicating them to stakeholders
Defining problem solving/risk mitigation strategies, and facilitating conflict resolution
Directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review, and escalating functional, quality and timeline issues appropriately
Tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of the customers
Overall coordination between the project teams, creating and maintaining project dashboard and preparing timely status reports
Devising and monitoring metrics to track the health of the project
Manages variances and communicates progress and issues to management

Specifically, the SA II will possess within 6 months of assignment and will maintain a certification required to satisfy DoD 5570.01M Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program for IAT or IAM Level II. The SA II will possess a strong working knowledge of information security concepts such as networking, network segmentation, firewalls, IDS, and log handling for incident detection and response. The SAII will provide technical security support services such as managing security appliances and firewalls to mitigate against future security events as directed by the Incident Response Plan.
The Firewall Engineer/SAII will be responsible for the following:
Installing, maintaining, updating and deploying security products (hardware and software).
Collecting, recording, analyzing, synthesizing and reporting data and information related to computer security events and incidents in accordance with the IR Plan and related policies, procedures and directions.
Recommending and/or implementing mitigation actions in response to incidents in accordance with the IR Plan.
Supporting operations, procedures, and record-keeping related to firewall management, rules administration, and remote secure access (including VPNs) as required.
Supporting security product research, development, evaluation and testing.
Developing, participating in, and providing feedback on tests, exercises and assessments of the IR Plan.
Gathering, disseminating and acting on cyber intelligence.
Ongoing operation, maintenance and user support of cyber security tools including, but not limited to, firewalls, scanning tools and systems, traffic analyzers, sniffers, asset management and vulnerability management tools, forensics tools, etc. All processes should be documented with SOPs for repeatable activities.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and three years experience in Information Security or Information Assurance.

Participates in the on-call rotation and carries company provided pager/cell as required. Participation in the rotation for monthly maintenance windows is required.
